Hello Ladies! Just a little message from a past lesson to keep us going throughout the week.

RS lesson on 6-17:

Sister Sheri Dew said:

"We are not alone -- at least, we're alone only if we choose to be alone. We're alone only if we choose to go through life relying solely on our own strength rather than learning to draw upon the power of God. Thus, the question for each of us is, what do we believe?

Do we believe there is a power in the gospel of Jesus Christ, power in the Atonement, power in the gift of the Holy Ghost, power in the ordinances of the temple, power in the Word to help us, guide us, and strengthen us far beyond any individual gifts we may have? Do we believe the promise the Lord has made countless times, epitomized by this verse: 'If thou shalt ask, thou shalt receive revelation upon revelation, knowledge upon knowledge, that thou mayest know the mysteries and peaceable things -- that which bringeth joy, that which bringeth life eternal' (D&C 42:61)

As compelling as those words are, what the Lord did not say is perhaps of equal interest. He did not say that if you're the President of the Church, or a stake president, or have been married in the temple, or have raised seven children to serve missions, you may receive these things. He said, 'If thou shalt ask,' putting the responsibility for seeking the Lord directly on our shoulders and within reach of anyone"

Service Project Success!

Thanks for everyone who was able to help in our service project held a couple of weeks ago of sewing pillow cases for the Ronald McDonald House.  They were thrilled to receive the 22  finished pillows!  They usually get them supplied from a mattress company and have not received any donations in a while so there was a great need for them.  Nina also had the neat experience of watching a very excited little boy pick out his own pillow.  What a great experience and how great it is to do service for those in need!  Thanks again for your hard work, time and donated materials...it was MUCH appreciated!

Time Out For Women

Just a reminder that Time Out For Women is coming up in April.  There is a group of women from the ward that are planning on attending, and you are more than welcome to join!  However, this is a very popular event and tickets are limited.  The event is close to being sold out, so if you want to go or have any questions regarding the event please contact Beth Chernich asap.  This is a very powerful and meaningful event, and might be just what you need to get rejuvenated!  For more information please visit their website at: www.tofw.com
